As Salamu Alaikum and Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim supporters

Eid-ul-Fitr, the most auspicious and joyous day of Muslim calendar is also a day of action and thanksgiving. The very name, 'eid of charity' shows that caring for the needy is an essential part of this day's festivities.

IMC-USA is calling this Eid day to be a day of action for the following reasons:

This year the Eid falls on the anniversary of one of the darkest days of modern India's history. On this day, ten years ago, Hindutva-fascists tore down a heritage of both Islamic and Indian glory. So it should not come as a surprise that IMC has made this Eid a day of action. They then celebrated their macabre deed by conducting a gory dance of massacres of Muslims all over India.

This Eid is the first Eid for the victims of Gujarat genocide. Those unfortunate enough to have escaped to mourn for the rest of their lives their loved ones who were hacked to death, burnt alive, blown to pieces and gang-raped while the world watched and did nothing.

Hindutva-fascists are threatening to repeat Gujarat genocide and make India a 'second Spain for Muslims'.

They have a list of 3000 more mosques on their hit list.

All the national Muslim organizations have endorsed IMC's call to observe December 6th as 'Babri Masjid Day'.

Therefore, on this most auspicious day let us resolve not to forget the Babri Masjid or the victims of the Gujarat genocide. We owe it to them, we owe it to our future generations if they are to escape future genocides being planned by the Hindutva-fascists, and we owe it our conscience for it to remain alive.

So, on this Eid-ul-Fitr, IMC recommends that you undertake the following actions:

1. Arrange dua and khutbas (sermons) of Eid and Jumah on the dangers of hindutva-fascism.
2. Download the petition at http://ImanNet.com/action/petition.babri.pdf and get it signed after Eid and Friday prayers demanding that Babri Masjid be rebuilt and the perpetrators of this 'culturcide' be brought to justice.
3. Remind your loved ones of the crimes committed by the Hindutva-fascists and ask them to join the struggle against fascism.
4. Ask your Masjid to allot a portion of donations for IMC

Thank you and may Allah accept your prayers and actions and reward you. May you and your loved ones enjoy this and many more Eid's and may the world be rid of tyranny, hatred and injustice. Ameen.
